My Initiatives as Your Garden Grove City Councilwoman for District 5!
Fiscal Management: Managing the city’s budget and resources effectively is critical. We need to
ensure transparency and accountability in everything we do with our finances.
Education: Quality education in our public schools is crucial. We need to make sure our schools
have the funding and resources they need to succeed. School safety and the overall performance
of our school district are also big concerns that we have to address.
Housing and Homelessness: Affordable housing and homelessness are huge challenges we’re
facing. We need to make sure there’s enough affordable housing and that we’re truly addressing
the needs of our homeless population. This includes working closely with police and authorities
to allow for legal enforcement when necessary, ensuring that the law can be applied fairly and
effectively without any issues.
Public Safety: Keeping our neighborhoods safe is a top priority. This means effective law
enforcement, community policing, and making sure we have enough resources for our police and
fire departments. We also need to focus on things like preventing loitering, adding more lights in
our neighborhoods for safety, and ensuring everyone has access to clean water.
Environmental Sustainability: We’ve got to tackle environmental issues like reducing
pollution, promoting recycling, and making sure our development practices are sustainable. This
is key to our community’s long-term health.
Economic Development: It’s important to attract and keep businesses in our city, support local
businesses, and create jobs. We also need to invest in our infrastructure and roads to ensure that
our city remains accessible and attractive for both businesses and residents. By focusing on these
areas, we can build a strong local economy that benefits everyone.
